D'Adamo explains in his book that especially the vegetable protein lectin causes damage in the body if the wrong diet is followed. These proteins should not only stick the blood cells together, but also cause organ damage or, in the worst case, lead to kidney failure.

Gylx Diet 



In order to lose weight successfully with the Glyx diet, it takes more than just differentiating between good and bad carbohydrates. The Glyx diet is a frequently recommended diet for reducing body weight.

This is definitely a wholesome and healthy diet, which provides the body with all nutrients in sufficient quantities. However, there are a few small but fine points to note here, because a diet based on the glycemic index alone does not lead to weight loss. More precisely, it is a metabolic diet in which the fat-storage hormone insulin and the blood sugar level play an important role in the success of the diet.

Paleo Diet




The term "Paleo" stands for the so-called Paleolithic, Paleolithic. This diet is based on the presumed diet at that time, i.e. even before arable farming and animal husbandry were intensified. The Stone Age diet is not a diet in the traditional sense, because counting calories and losing weight are not a priority.

The Brigitte diet is a weight loss concept that was developed in the 1960s by the women's magazine of the same name. It is one of the oldest and best-known diets in Germany. The magazine itself describes the Brigitte diet as an all-round carefree package and features balanced, energy-reduced, delicious meals. Brigitte also advertises that the recipes are quick and easy to prepare.


Since the Brigitte diet existed, the concept has been updated regularly. 
The recommendations are based on current scientific knowledge. In 2012 there were the last major changes in the concept, which are still valid today. The three basic rules “hourly formula”, “fatburn kick” and “calorie brake” continue to apply. The "slow carbs" are new. The recipes have been developed since 2003 by the ecotrophologist Anna Ort-Gottwald in the test kitchen of the editorial team. Only when all colleagues are satisfied does the recipe appear in the magazine and diet books.

Low Carb Diet


Low carb stands for a variety of different diets in which the proportion of carbohydrates in the diet is greatly reduced. Typical examples of this are the Atkins diet, the Glyx diet or the Montignac method.

The recommendations are quite different, but they are all aimed at successful weight loss. With this diet, protein and fat-rich foods are allowed, so meat, fish, eggs and cheese can be consumed. Vegetables and salad are ideal side dishes. Pasta, rice and bread should be avoided. When there is a lack of carbohydrates, the body burns more fat.
